Very reasonable price. Great beer. Just had nachos. Large portion but cheese was below par. Suggest the use real cheese.
One of the best happy hours for a limited selections of beers. But they have a lot of beers on tap. Appetizers are so-so for the price. Service is usually pretty good.
Solid, enjoyable sports bar experience. Good food, good staff. But the beer menu really sets it way apart from average. Some real gems on here and they're not one-offs. Good selection of the best CO craft beers. Local vibe is very nice too. Music selection also sets this place apart from the usual. Overall a very good place to have a good beer and hang out for a while.
My wife and I recently moved to Lakewood from downtown and were in search of a taproom that has a good selection of brews and inexpensive food. We were pleasantly surprised with Westrail! The first time we went to Westrail we ordered the large nachos. For only $10, we got what looked to be an X-large pizza pan full of deliciousness! We ate maybe 1/3 of them and were able to enjoy them for a couple of nights afterward. Moreover, they have a great beer selection and it's inexpensive!
I live close I have been a few times. Food is hit or miss depends on what you order. Great when it's not busy. Staff rude when busy and last couple times I went staff acted annoyed and unfriendly. When we walked in women said "yeah!?!?" Acted Like what do you want?? An hour and a half wait so we left went somewhere else. When we came back later for only drinks, bartender acted annoyed to serve us despite a near empty place. Probably wont go back despite being in walking distance.
Our next experience was with carry out. Once again, we ordered nachos. Expecting a downsized version, I was astonished when I was handed two large boxes full of nachos! Additionally, we received a side of queso for the nachos. Westrail is a hidden gem in that you really get more than what you pay for! I'm thankful that Westrail is in our new neighborhood!
