This is my favorite one so far. Nice job, team!
The administration is incompetent and a lot of the teachers are there only to cash a paycheck not to help the students. The people who started the school were on the right path, but the current principal has made a joke of this school. Think twice about bringing your children here, they might get left behind.
I am a eighth grade student attending JCOS, an personally I love this school, but it might not be for everyone. If your a parent, try something out before you enroll your kid. Ask them to do a project on anything that they want. Give them a start time and a deadline. at that deadline (which should be around 2 months from the start), have them turn it in and look for these key things. Did you have to be on other backs for them to finish? Was it a good project overall? Was the information accurate? And most of all did they enjoy it. If the answer is no to any of this questions they might risk failure. I had no idea what i was getting into my seventh grade year. I almost failed because i wasn't finishing my classes because no one reminded me that I had to do it. This school is about self direction, and if your child isnt self directed, they may learn, or they may fail. Keep that in mind as they go here. But overall, this school has taught me how to love learning. I've made great friends and I have great relationships with the staff, and I wake up on weekdays knowing that it was going to be a great day. I give this school a 10/10, no make that a 11/10
Hey wait a minute... My friend goes here
I went to the school several years ago, the teachers never followed my IEP and when there was a bullying problem with one of my friends (He was trying to help someone and they punched him in the stomach) we went to the principle he not only kept delaying our meeting but when it did finally happen the advisor of the bully took over the meeting and told us it was our problem and we were trying to gang up on the bully. Also said teacher often ‘lost’ my work (I saw it in her in bin so I know I turned it in) and if I had stayed I would have ended up graduating several years behind my school group due to all the work they expect you to do in the higher levels. I have several friends still at that school who hope to graduate next year (they should be graduating this year but are overwhelmed with the work expected of them to turn in in four years) I had great memories of the school when I was younger but it has gone down the drain, if you have a child who needs special attention or is on an IEP(Or anything like that), don't go to this school! Also, watch out for the advisor Megan, she isn’t supportive or kind to students or adults!
This movie theater was great. I went to see captian underpants and I had a great time. One thing though even after the staff cleaned there was popcorn all over the floor, now it's stuck in my shoes, otherwise great theater would come back!
