Me and my husband went there for breakfast today 11/17/17. We were seated after a short wait, but no waitress or waiter come to entertain us. After about 20 minutes. A customer seated next to us was entertain immediately. My husband decided to stand up to see if anyone would notice us.i made eye contact with the waitress and said excuse me 3x. But she ignore me. After wAting another 10 minutes we left.
We stopped in around 10am on a Thursday morning and were seated immediately. Service was prompt and friendly. We were immediately impressed with the seasonal fall menu and ordered the wild mushroom frittata and the pumpkin pecan waffle. The waffle was fluffy and its topping nutty and crunchy. My partner noted that the mushroom-to-egg ratio of his frittata exceeded expectations. Attention to detail was also above-average: each plate looked exactly as pictured on the specials board. Although busy, the restaurant didn't feel crowded, and the music was low enough to permit conversation. Overall a solid spot for a fast-casual breakfast.
Give it a try! Great coffee and very tasty breakfast items!!!!
I come to Denver about twice a year and have been going to this Egg & I since 2007. Not once have I had bad food or unfriendly servers. Today I tried a new menu item called the Tuscan Scramble which has basil and avocado mixed in it. It was awesome! Something else I love is there are folks that have been here for years and it is always a joy to catch up on how they are doing.
It was ok, definitely not the worst place I've been. Would have been better if the sandwhich wasn't cold and soggy on the bottom. I could tell it had been sitting for awhile before it came to the table. My only other complaint was that the waiter told us we couldn't remove the ranch potatoes from the hashes because they were already mixed in. This leads me to believe that everything is frozen, and not made fresh. Otherwise decent. My boyfriend enjoyed everything.
Wait staff is extremely friendly, they seem happy to be at work. Food was good for the value and came out hot, even though it seemed like it took a while to get our dishes. Our server didn't check on us as often as we would've liked, she didn't stop by until our drinks were empty, and then we only saw her once after the food got delivered. She seemed preoccupied with other tables she had gotten after us. We waited quite a while for the bill, the hostess walked by and ask if we were waiting to cash out so she ended up getting our receipt for us. Food was great, but not sure I'd make it a point to stop in again.
